Design Concept & Theme

Good design deserves a great photograph.

Every piece of multi media stands to benefit from a complementing image. Consider brochures, magazine and newspaper ads and you’ll quickly realize websites are no exception. We often recommend at least one great image for your website. We have stock photography libraries available to us and we’ll do the research and suggest the image that best supports your website’s theme and message.

A note on concept vs. reality:

Why not make it beautiful?

The image shown here is one example of a "conceptual photograph". Instead of using a photograph of the actual coffee shop that may or not have been taken on a sunny day, we've chosen an image that well represents the company, supports the color scheme, is simply stated and easy to look at.

If you’re choosing new photography for your website ...

Keep in mind that you may want to reuse this same photography in future company printing materials (such as a brochure or magazine ad). Low-resolution stock photography (for website use) is traditionally less expensive than stock high-resolution photography (for print use). If you think you may want to use your new photography choices for future printing purposes, it’s best to purchase the high-resolution one-time so as to avoid possibly having to purchase the same image twice. To clarify, high-resolution photography can be down-sized to be used in web applications, where a low-res resolution photo cannot be up-sized for printing or it will become distorted and appear fuzzy.

Resources you never knew you had ...

Whether you’re selling flooring tile or the latest in facial care solutions, odds are the product you’re selling has been photographed by the manufacturer. Check with vendors, partners, affiliates and ask about what graphic resources are available to you as a retailer. There may also be copy such as FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions) or product descriptions available to you as well.
